define 'sputter' and is it doing this when you're driving or reving in a driveway or what?

mine does this... it goes away after a bit of hard drivig, but periodically returns. I have a spare TPS in my garage, i will let you know if the swap cures it. PM me incase I forget to post here.

its hard to define a sputtering when your trying to write it but ill do my best. It feels like a break up in power at that rpm. You hear the idle break up if that helps. I noticed it first when i drove it and then when i got to my destination i did it while it was just on and it did it a little not as bad as when i was driving.

It's probably something similar to the 3800RPM hesitation. It's either a ground, TPS, or something wrong with your secondary injectors.

Bad grounding can keep the secondary injectors from coming online or make them stutter, it's a good thing to check out.

Does it sound like the ignition is breaking up?

Friend on mine had a similiar problem, but started at 5k and above.

We traced his problem down to a cracked coil tower and bad plug wires. Car ran perfect at lower rpms.

Easiest way to check for it is in the dark. Voltage leaks are rather pretty at night.
