Question about the main ground...
I changed my main ground wire that runs from the battery to the starter bolt and the car will not fire up now...I cut the old ground up at each end and left the center hanging in there.
I was wondering if anything else was spliced into the main ground that would cause the car to not start now? Is anything else supposed to be grounded to the same wire?

As it mentions in both the Haynes and the FSM, as well as the writeups in the Archives, the main chassis ground is on the driver shock tower where it meets the frame rail. There is a single M6 bolt that connects it. If this ground is missing, the car won't work.

Yes. The insulation on the ground cable is cut away, and the ground terminal is crimped directly onto the cable. About 18" (following the cable) away from the battery terminal.
Look at the base of your strut tower, and you can't possibly miss it.
