Question about an 87' turbo II

Hi guys I am new to the rx7 forum and this car will hopefully be my first rotary. I am trying to get this turbo II 87' fc, and it is down in st. louis so a good 4 hours away from from me. Now the clutch on the car is bad, but the guy told me I can still drive it if the car warms up nice I will just have to move the clutch back up with my left foot. The motor and everything else is very good this car was babied. With your opinion would you recommend me towing it or simply driving it back? Do you think this car would make it back a four hour trip but mostly highway so I'll be in fifth gear most of the time.

Tow/haul it. And make sure you get compression numbers before you buy...

I had that happen on my old Miata, would still shift fine just had to pull the clutch pedal back with your foot. Lasted about 300 miles then the clutch slave died completely and the car got stuck in neutral. Have it towed/hauled.
