Q's about running N326 ECU on a S4 T2
I am currently running one in my 87 T2. How much timimng will it take out in relation to boost pressure? I know that it dores not have a fuel cut, but how safe is it to run at elevated boost levels?
If there is any more info that any of you have it would be very helpful to me. All of this is to better understand the limitations of my setup.
Thanks

N326 out of a convertible?
Um, is this a US-spec vehicle?
1988 vert ECU should be an N338.
All else being equal, the non-turbo ECU runs way more aggressive ignition timing.
This could imply your engine is running rich.
OR the turbo ECU is just bad...

A S4 non turbo coupe uses a N326 which has entrily different ignition, and fuel maps. Not even close to a Turbo map found on a N332 or N333 S4 Turbo ECU.
And Turbos use different intake timing all together.
And a N326 wouldn't even have knock protection, or re-adjusting timing for preventing detonation when the turbo went to boost. Infact under 4000 RPM you would even get ignition advance on a N326 when there was 0 or higher manifold pressure.
and we haven't even gotten to the waste gate control or the scroll design that the N326 would have no effect on

I was informed that it was a conv ecu. My car does run risch all the way through the rpm range, butb I do not have any problems with leaning out at all. If anything, I am running way too rich. I have not had any fuel cut issues at all since I began running a N326. The performance of my car was drasticly improved by the N326 over trying four different N332 ecu's.

What happend to runing the N338? Last time we worked on your car and switched to a good N338 an acceptable ECU things were fine. Why are you back to the N326?

But you still have some radical timing advance issues. Again the N326 is designed for 6 port intakes, 460cc injectors, and no boost.
