PSA: One sleepy headlight? Here's the solution...

I have had so many issues with my car over the last few months. Electrical, mechanical, and especially the cooling system (I am actually doing a detailed write up for the cooling system right now that'll be posted soon).

One day, my passenger side headlight wouldn't lower completely when I turned the lights off. I could manually push it down with my hand though to make it flush. It also didn't move up all the way as it should and I could manually push it up into the place.

Well, last night I figured it out.

On the light assembly, there is a single rod connecting the light assembly to the headlight motor, and this rod is attached to a plastic ball joint piece (easiest way to describe it). The actuator arm connecting to this plastic ball joint had falloff the joint and was riding on the supporting rod for the ball joint.

Just take the actuator rod and snap it back onto the plastic ball joint piece and your done. Easy.

The reason i am posting this is because over the last few months I have seen a few threads on the issue, and I don't think they where ever resolved. That, and if anyone has an issue with this in the future, hopefully the handy search tool on the forum will pic this thread up....assuming people use it (yeah....hahaha).

If anyone wants a pic or recommends I include a pic, I can post one.
