Prosport Gauges
Someone mentioned these gauges to me a while back, and having never heard of them, (I assume not many people on this forum have), I looked them up.
www.prosportgauges.com
I was kinda suspisuous(sp?) of them due to their low price compaired to Defi, etc; and also having not heard of them until recently. I researched them a little bit around the net, and didn't find any bad reviews. It seems that they've been a hit with the 3000GT and WRX crew for a little while. I also stumbled accross a magazine that tested different brands' of gauges' accuracy, and Prosport actually did very well. (I don't remember all the specifics).
I've been looking for a set of gauges that would match the stock cluster decently well and didn't feel like breaking the bank for Defis or something similer, and I hate the way AutoMeters look at night.
So I bought a set
Performance Amber/White: boost, water temp, oil pressure, oil temp, and fuel pressure.
They came in today. The packaging looks really good, as do the gauges. I was pleasently surprised with their quality.
I was kinda antsy to see how the amber would match the stock gauges so I opened one up, and did a quickie wiring job.
I think that they match pretty well. The pic makes the gauge color look a tad more orange that it really is.
Overall I'm very pleased with these. They do the opening ceremony/gauge sweep, and have a blacked out face when turned off and there are options in the wiring that enable you to have one color during the day, and the other at night.
I'll get more pics of all the gauges tomorrow, and some whenever I actually install them.

Do we have a stock Oil temp sending unit in our cars?
Also will the oil pressure gauge and sender from http://www.prosportgauges.com/Perfor...uges-Amber.htm work?
Also will the electic water temp sensor work with our stock water temp sender?
Thanks.

It's been covered many times on this forum.
I did a search for "oil pressure sender thread pitch" in the 2nd gen tech forum.
