i was just wondering. i wasnt aware pinching them could cause that big of a leak, but i guess it the pinch is long enough it could be pretty bad

Ahaha, wow, that's alot of displaced coolant. Good to see you have it out already.

I just found a dead FC with a short block the guy will sell me for $50. I can't wait to yank it and see what happened and maybe rebuild it as a spare for when mine finally dies (which I don't plan on for many, many miles since the compression rocks and she's not burning anything that shouldn't be ).

Oh yeah, it can be a major problem. Just imagine that you have all the pressure of combustion pushing outwards on a seal that isn't where it should be combined with the coolant pressure on the other side of it and sooner or later it's gonna pop completely out of place or tear and you have a water tank instead of a fire belching 13b.
