Still have to do some polishing and cleaning, but it's getting close... got my tires and wheels today so I thought I would throw up a pic.

Geez. I actually like that. I wonder, try painting the original white rims black and powder coating them too? Then it'd be the stealth car!

Ya, i realized that after I put them on. I thought 17's would fill it out more... it actully fills them out less with the lower profile tires. I guess it's just time to lower it a bit the gap does not look 'as' bad in person though .. the angle of the pic makes it look worse.

Hey hey, relax now ... That picture is taken with the stock AE rim on the other side still, tirerack fugged up and shipped 3 wheels instead of 4 so i think when i get all 4 on it will look lower, and I had just dropped the jack and not even sat in it .. so ZI think it is streched a little... if, after I get all 4 on, and take it for a spin and look at I still think it's too much of a gap i will lower it. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, if I'm not happy with it .. it's won't stay like that.

BTW: that paint job is DIY in the garage, not bad .. once i clean the polishing compound from the cracks.

I will post more PIC's later when it's all cleaned up, polished, and with all 4 tires on it.

I noticed the pics, looks nice. What all did you use for the color itself and clear, I'm kind of considering painting mine as well. It's just primer now.

I seem to notice wheel gap more for some reason, must be all the hondas with 17's that look like trucks. I like it european (BMW/Audi) style with rolled fenders and no gap - beautiful.

I assume you meant to say 'note' but I am also wondering what that is suposed to mean? My guess is that you are talking about the white that is showing. ... rest assured, like I said I have not finished detailing the car, all the white you see is 3M fine cut rubbing compund I used to buff the finish. The electric buffer spins the **** everywhere. The whole car was a mustard brown from the 2 coats of self etching primer I put on the almost bare metal, there is nothing showing through that is white in any way, shape, or form besides the compound I have not wiped out of the cracks. If you have something constuctive to say, by all means speak up... if you posted just to bash **** you know nothing about maybe the lounge is more your style.

But then again you are probably right, If I were you I would not polish my own shoes, much less paint my own car.
