Wider is better! Your tires make my 245/255 tires look small but then I only have less than half the HP you have.

Nice to see some professional fabricators working with the 7. me personally though, I think that the verts are friggen ugly with the cloth top... maybe its just me, but I think you should have kept the 88AE widebody.

Cloth top? Looks like the stock vinyl hard top to me?

Yup, I think its just you. JK, to each his own. Vert or coupe, this car is going to be one of the nicest FC's around IMO.

That is going to be nuts Dave! I really like it and you are going all out with the car. The progression looks awesome. That gives a new meaning to the term steamrollers! Time for some upgraded brakes now.....

I hope it is ready for SevenStock.... that will be a kick *** car to take down there and drive on the street. The 20B in there eventually will be absolutely ridiculous!

I would rather compromise a little for keeping the car streetable than having an all out gutted race car that one drives only a handful of times per year. I'm putting some Dynamat in my car.... I'm slowly going deaf. Time for a stereo with iPod adapter.

You will probably be the first to ride in it.
Brakes have been upgraded but only the rotors. I have the two piece directionally veined cryo-treted rotors with stock calipers and pads for the situation.
Not really looking to spend several k on bigger calipers and rotorsright now.

I agree about being able to drive it as often as you want. In essence, my car is still a practical daily driver but in all reality, the more I do and spend on it, the less "practical" it becomes and the more hesitant I am to drive it.
That probably won't stop me though

Stereo = New way to go deaf and besides, you car sounds like music to my ears...and Jurys' for that matter.

Very nice Dave, just think you'll have the second fastest FC in Norcal I contemplated going wider when I started mine, and Wish I had. That said, the narrow body I have is forcing me to go to smaller wheels, and tires, which in turn will be less unsprung weight. The 18x12 CCW weighs nearly what my entire wheel tire package weighs. Anyway, I cannot wait to run with you, it will be a blast. I want to see a custom Hardtop JDM Circuit style, kinda like the Spoon racing S2000. You realize of course, once you are done, I will be finding a way to fit a bigger tire under my car, even if I cannot mount it Just for the record, is 13.5 the section width, or tread width, I must know Carl

Carl, we may be making molds of the fenders but only if there is commited interest.

My wheels/tires are surprisingly light for their size. No weights recorded as of this point but will do so in the near future. Besides, slicks and light *** race rims are not San Francisco freindly, i.e. potholes, traintracks etc. Also, my rotors are each 3lbs. lighter than the stock units so that saves a bit of unsprung weight.
I will also be getting a second set of rims with slicks for the track next season

They are not slicks Carl so the 13-1/2" width is the section width. I will eventually run a 12-1/2" and 14-1/2" tread width slick in the front and rear respectively for next season.
I'll have to put them on the car after I drive it to the track

They make them to order....

Christ, more power bigger wheels, and tires, that's just wrong. So exactly what tires and rims will you run? With your $$$ I see Radial slicks, and BBS Magnesium wheels in your future. Maybe I'll be the second fastest after all. See ya at the track.

How much for your CCW's if you don't mind me asking? I'm wondering how much for a set of 17x10's would run? Outstanding car btw! Please post pics when it's all said and done, would love to see it!

CCW's are around $2200. Titanium hardware shaves off about 6-8 ounces per wheel and is an option.

My CCW 18x10.5" wheel with titanium hardware is just under 20lbs.

Weren't you knocking the CCW's last year Dave?

Price was ~$2200 when all was said and done.
The size of the rim does not affect price. The 17X10's would be the same as 18x12's in their classic profile. They have a few other rim choices available now but I went with the "classic."

I'll have new pics to update the thread middle of next week. Bodywork should be close to being done except for the modified Demonspeed spliter for the front end which has yet to arrive. Also need to install the gas filler door to eliminate the gaping hole left by the flares over the original filler door.
I ordered a Mustang Cobra filler door from Jegs.

I also ordered these trick hood latches that are flush and locking.

Just yours
Actually I have always liked them but was thinking cleaning the brake dust off of yours with the cast (rough) finnish would be a complete nightmare.
They still look great, especially after seeing them yesterday all cleaned up.

I would think you would want molds in case you needed them. I actually will be doing something a little different, front, and rear in terms of the fenders on my car. Just wanted to see what you were up to first. These could bridge the time gap while I develop the others, particularly the fronts.
