Problems with understeer

Ok ok....personally through my experience if the set up on the car seems good then you just need some pratice on your technique. The Rx7 is a weird car to drift at first, but it's very possible and fun to do. I think you should go back and start with the basics...even if you think you got it down, just try it. Set up a cone (in a safe environment!!!) And try doing some donuts around the cone and aiming as close to the cone as possible. Then set up two of them and try figure 8's. To initiate it just rev it up and dump the clutch...I figure you knew that though. After you get the basics out the way it my clear your head and you'll stop contemplating what you are doing wrong and you will naturally make the car slide because you are now comfortable with how the car acts. Remember the qoute "no mind" don't think about it just do it!!
As far as drifting FC's. It is my car so please do not ridicule me or anything for wanting to drift or road race with it. If you want to preserve the FC then preserve yours and make it a classic. Me I want to race mine because it's what I love to do, and I love doing it with this car. Give us a break man.

understeer problems can be handled 3 ways. New/better tires the grippier the better, tire pressure try it with 5 psi incriments, And suspension, this is a big thing if you have stock suspension, its no wonder your getting understeer. if its the stock susp that came with the car, ANYTHING is better than that.
If your SUPER poor, and cant afford new tires, or suspension, then you have 2 routes to go, and for one of these Im going to get flamed, but i did it 7 months ago, and like it more than most $1000 setups ive been in. You can Cut your springs. this (assuming your struts arnt leaking fluid) can make your car MUCH more predictable, GREATLY reduced understeer, and gives it better grip handling. people will look down on you for this. Just be very carefull how much you cut off.
Tire pressure this is a good free way to help with understeer. less air means better surface contact. Dont let out more than 5psi at a time before drifting it, just to make sure your not letting out too much air. I dont think you wanna let out any more than 15 psi. Somebody correct me if im wrong.
You dont NEED lsd, i did PLENTY of drifts without it, as well as full controled doughnuts and stuff like that. LSD just makes it easier for higher speed drifts, and holding drifts for longer.
technique, look up polor moment. wieght balance is KEY for drifting. try fients, if they still arnt working, try bigger faster fients. A good fient can make ANY car go into a drift.
hope at least something in all of that helped

Keep it on topic guys!! Anymore flaming will get deleted and warnings will be sent out to those people who feel the need. Just because you don't like drifting, or any form of driving for that matter, don't try to make people agree with your viewpoint.

Maybe to help him out a little you guys could tell him what psi you guys are at...i dont have a gauge but i believe im around 40 haha (is that high?)
and i also have stock suspension and an open diff and like i said before i can hold those donuts...just no figure 8's (lack of lsd). rx7's are known for their high rpms so you gotta take advantage of that!! but WATCH YOUR TEMP GAUGE...the last thing you need to do is toast your engine.
