Problems Starting 87 RX7
My girlfriends brother-in-law came across an 87 RX7 (non turbo) that he purchased. It did not run when purchased. We have played with it, and have not been able to get it to start under its own power. We were able to get it started by towing it behind a truck and basically giving it a high speed push start. It would run fine after this "push start" if you kept the RPM's above 3000. If we let the RPMs drop it would stall out before it would even come close to reaching idle speed.
We have not tried the unflooding trick, since I just learned about it today, but I will certainly try that tonight. Does this sound typical of a flooded rotary motor?
Thanks in advance...

Have you tried the ATF trick then roll started it? Also, are you letting it warm up after you start - VERY IMPORTANT!!! - Here is a link
