Problems with a failing gasket

My friend has an 87 N/A that I installed an S5 motor in. The motor runs great, and runs cool, but the problem is the gasket between the water housing and the front cover keeps failing. Any ideas? Ive tried everything.

Thanks in advance.

The housing is probably warped, or the front cover. Take both off and take them to a machinist so that they can "plane" or "deck" it for you.
