Pro/Cons S-AFC on boost sensor?

After reading threads on the topic, I like to get this clarified, what are the pros/cons of hooking an S-AFC up to the boost sensor instead of the TPS?

What are the cons of using the TPS, running rich at mid throttle?

Thanks guys.

Come on guys, it may be a stupid question, but I'd really like to know.

Ya, I was looking for info too..
For my use- it'll be ideal, runing a turbo off an N/A ECU, with a TII boost sensor....

I think that the pressure sensor (manifold vacuum) should have just the same response as the TPS- plus, with it, the S-AFC can determine fuel according to boost, not just throttle position. Good for people with FCD's too...

Just give it a shot and see how it runs- it's easy to wire (just change the wire that the throttle input is on from the TPS to the pressure sensor)
and see how it runs.... keep and eye on the o2 sensor voltage too (or- have a wideband )

Thanks for the reply, however I'm not any closer to what I was hoping for. Is one advantage of boost over throttle, that throttle is the same in all gears while boost is not?

I'm a boost creep...

Manifold pressure and throttle position are two quite different parameters. Estimating load from one requires quite different software and tuning than using the other. I’d guess the S-AFC would be quite confused it you tried to do this. It might work on a NA because there’s a definite limit to the manifold pressure (atmospheric), but in a turbo constant WOT results in a changing manifold pressure. Note that I would think the S-AFC just uses the TPS input for transition corrections, not as the primary load input. That’s still the job of the AFM. I know the FC TPS is crap, but I think you should just stick with using what the S-AFC was designed for.
