OK I have my codes, I needed to earth the single green plug, then Use a single LED with the top left socket of the big 6 socket. It then acted as the engine check light.

The codes I have are
25
27
30
31
32
33
34
35
38
42

As far as I can see it means my Oil metering Pumps is faulty or the Wiring to it. I'll be hunting the problem down tomorrow.

That would you are indeed in limp mode.

You will either need to fix it/replace it or pre-mix.

I checked the resistance and looks like the stepper motor is shorting out, so ECU is correct in puttting me in Limp mode. Just hope I haven't done any damage.

Yeah A replacement is being collected by me on Sunday.

Is it possible to remove the Metering Oil Pump with the water pump housing still in place? and Do I need to drain the oil? Also Is the S5 MOP 3 blots as I can only see 2?

From what I can see I could just about remove the pump without removing anything else and also looks like the oil level is below the MOP so shouldn't need to drain oil.

Any tips in this job would be great. I want the swap to be as painless as possible

Cost me $8 from radio shack and about 3 mins to put it together. Also works as a TPS setting light.

And yes, if i have to replace my pump again i will be getting an ebay pump. There are some off brands but there is not much to a fuel pump, they should all work, though i would try for a real deal.

A BOV leak should not cause all power loss IMO, unless you are in high boost and all your boost goes by by. but then it should still have NA power, not cut out all the way.

What's the website cause I tried to pull that site up to make the code reader for my car and it wouldn't pull up or show me ?! Can some one post a site or explain how to make it etc

that website closed down about a decade ago.

all you need to do is ground the single pin green diagnostic connector by the battery and turn the key on to get flash codes from the check engine light. if you have an early S4(no check engine light), there is probably a writeup on the LED tester still alive somewhere on this site.
