All of you anti-Penzoil folks are killing me with you unfounded claims. I'm so sick of the mass stupidity on this website-that's at least what I heard from my mother's brother's aunt's sister's friend who was dating a mechanic at the shop I work at.

Please prove the claims about ASH CONTENT for any of oils mentioned. If you can't produce a lab result or a label on the bottle, WHERE ARE YOU GETTING YOUR INFO FROM?

Here is a virgin oil analysis results for Pennzoil 10w-30
http://theoildrop.server101.com/ubb/...=000259#000000

You can do a search on the website yourself and find some Castrol VOAs and come to your own conclusions.

Also, you can't blame an oil entirely on carbon buildup inside an engine. Engine tune and driving style ( ***** footing the gas too much) are more likely to blame for carbon in an engine, not the oil.

I've been using Castrol 10w-40 in my Vert but will switch to Pennzoil next oil change because its a little cheaper in price at Wally World. Regardless of the oil, you'll never see me posting a "My engine is blown" thread.....

lol 10w40, thats worse than any oil, you should learn about oil before posting that people are stupid, search the 2nd gen forum for oil details, you'll find what the real facts are, i cant remember who posted, its a pretty old thread.

Rx7b13, if your RX7 is an S4, then you could disable the oil injection and go premix. If you forget to add oil to the gas tank during a fillup, you'll wear out the engine quickly.

For the engine oil, as long as its changed frequently enough and kept topped off, don't worry about the anti-pennzoil crowd. I'm one of the few that believe that only engine tuning(stock rich A/F ratio + faulty sensors, worn plugs....) causes the carbon issues and not the oil.

If you plan on keeping the oil injection working, then skip the 2-stroke and use something thinner that will lubricate and clean. A little marvel mystery oil or lucas upper cylinder lube will do the trick. Or dilute the 2-stroke with a little distillate or alcohol so that you won't overdose.

I'd love to see a motor oil, used as premix, pass the TCW3 tests.
If a premix oil is good enough for TCW3, its good enough for me!

Pennzoil specs are pretty stout:

QuakerState specs are pretty stout:

Anyone see any similarities between the previous 2 links?

tcw3 stays suspended (mixed) in gasoline better if the gas sits for awhile.
