premix and compressor
now i know this topic has been beaten to **** but i have a couple questions that were not answered in other forums ive been reading for about 2 hrs now about this and im getting so many different opinions but if i own a 86 rx7 gxl NA if i were to start premixing and i want to get rid of my OMP system....would this throw any check engine lights and would it put my 7 in limp mode and make it run rich? and another question is if i keep my 5th and 6th ports open i know im going to lose alot on my lower end but what would i need to eliminate my air compressor...to my knowledge in the 86 the compressor only is needed for emissions and to open the 5th and 6th ports correct? so i would need a double belt alt. pulley...any advice or opinion

ok so i found a blockoff plate from pineapple for the OMP but does anyone sell the bolts for the injector blockoff and also what would happen to my S4 if i remove my compressor? i know i gotta keep open my 5th and 6th ports and that i would lose low end power but im not too concerned about that if im on the track which i would keep it in higher rpm range so what else would be needed for the air compressor removal?

also, I'd get the ACV block off plate if you're going to be removing the air pump.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe on the s4 the 5/6 ports are activated by back pressure in the exhaust, not by the air pump, so you wouldn't need to wire them open.

The S4's use a split air tube that goes from the cat and it Leads to the Auxiliary Ports, via a small vacuum type hose.
If you use a s5 Header, you can get Good enough pressure at the Collector. You have to weld in a Bung and run a Tube up to the aux ports. The S4 RB headers come with that split air tube to go to the Ports.

Number one it feeds air into the cat converter for the 2nd stage of the cat to work correctly and not overheat into a pile of very expensive raw earth materials.
Number 2 with the air control valve it reduces back fires on lift throttle or light throttle situations.
Number 3, it serves as an idler pulley for the water pump to help drive the water pump.
