power window motor dead, yes?
driver window wont go down, but the motor still makes moving noise when i press up. silent when pressing down. used a test light and jumper wire to try and rig my own switch, but same thing. when connecting the "down" wire to power there's no sound, "up" wire the motor makes up noise. passenger side works just fine, up and down.
this is gonna suck to replace isn't it. i can't stand driving without MY window down.

Unplug the motor. Hook the red lead from the motor to + of a cordless drill battery and the green lead to (-) of a cordless drill battery. If you don't have a cordless drill battery, run leads all the way to the battery of the car.
The motor will move if it is good. Reverse the two... again, the motor will move the opposite direction if the motor is good.
You can not test by just jumping one wire. Jumping one wire assumes that the grounds are working in the switch... which if you are testing the motor, won't be plugged in.
