power steering loss

Sometimes I loose power steering on my FC. The latest time...I did a doughnut in a parking lot when it was wet and when i finished, i didn't have any power steering. the time before, i was drifting on some dirt roads when i lost power steering. doesn't make any sense to me. i've checked the level and it's good.

Watch you level.

I though mine was good, but it turned out to be extremely low. Somehow fluid was being splashed onto the dipstick.

Check it with a flashlight just to be sure.

It only happens at high g's?

The S5 NA's had a RPM sensitive PS pump.
When revs went up, assist dropped out.
Not cool in an autocross zig zag.

Your S4's are supposed to be speed sensitive, so the assist drops out at around 35 MPH.
When doing a donut with the wheels spinning at 40, the steering feel will stiffen.
