got rid of the a/c today and i would like to loose the power steering pump as well. the belt off it but i'm looking for more space and weight savings and i was wondering what i have to do to take off the pump. eventually prolly replace the whole steering system but for now i just want to be able to get by with out the pump. any ideas?

There was a write up on someones site, but I dont remember whos site it was on. There wasnt much to it though. You just have to block off the 2 lines that go to the steering rack from the pump. You have to make sure the pressure is equalized, but I dont remember how to do that. I had my belt off for a month before I finally pulled the pump off, and I havent had any problems yet.
