I started my car up with just my 3" DP, since we removed the exhaust to drop the rear subframe. Its was loud as hell, almost made the ground shake...would not recommend driving around like that Sounded pretty neat though

This is for you! When I bought my car it had the RP 50mm system on it along with an RB header and presilencer. So here are some old old (year ago this month actually) pics of my car when I first bought it with the exhaust:

thats the system I have on my other TII for daily driving. I actually really like it and have had MANY compliments on the sound of it. Every one says my other cars straight 3" single side sounds like an air plane lol

thanks ddub... was that system loud? i wont have the presilencer though heh... so if you could tell me how it sounded i can imagine what it would sound like without one... though a friend of mine had his without a presilencer and it sounded nice... though it was a turbo and n/a's are louder so im wondering heh

It was quieter than what I have now if that means anything. Before racing beat header, presilencer, RP catback. Now, racing beat header, test pipe, 2.5" catback, dual ebay mufflers straight through. What I have now is very loud, what I had before was fine, not bad at all.

That RP system looks nearly identical to the HKS Sport.

I have this system on one of my cars to and the best way to put it is it kinda sounds like the stock exhaust only deeper and throaty. It is louder than stock but you wont be getting noise tickets for it.

you mean even without a presilencer it still is only a bit louder than stock? i was kind of hoping for a pretty loud one

I don't think he's talking about with a header and straight pipe, probably just as the catback by itself. It'll be way louder than stock. When I had the header, presilencer, and that catback it was definitely louder than stock.

the n/a's get REALLY REALLY loud without some kind of a pre silencer, and even with a pre silencer its quite loud with a decent sized catback.

I have a stock ex. manifold, stock cats removed, Bonez pre-silencer and high flow cat, with magnaflow mufflers.

As I've heard from a few people, if I add a header and/or remove the pre-silencer... I'll regret it.. (noise wise). The header is what will really up the decibals though.

you will regret it if you dont like noise. i personally can handle the noise my car makes, and it basically has a straight pipe with a corksport muffler

I wish I was rollin' like that. Damn corksport exhaust coming out after I built my system. Otherwise I would've gone RB header, custom presilencer straight pipe replacement, to CS catback, maybe some day I'll switch to that, we'll see.

i know this is kind of a late response but....

i don't mind my bumper being torched like that. its a pre-curser to what will happen if you tailgate me.

lol i know i wouldnt mind it either... if only there was a way to rig up a camera to catch the looks on peoples faces when you light up a flamer... that would be a priceless moment
exhaust - 600$
header - 250$
gastkets - 50$
looks on peoples faces as they see a huge fireball coming at their car - priceless

Here is my Apexi N1 single
i want duals!!!

but now that i have a TD06 turbo.... i had to take out the silencer to make the car actually more quiet =) (the n1 now has a deep sound instead of a medium loud sound that was stuck in when the silencer was in....)

anyways, some of my friends..... (a cousin of a ricer...) was saying... where is the Apexi logo on the tip?? I looked thru my records from the last owner.... there was an apexi japanese manual.... i was just wondering if you guy's N1 have a Apexi logo on it... (and shut him up... ricer style (yeah.... using name brands to shut his mouth....) can't believe i have to sink so low.... but eeeh, anything to shut those ricers up..)

Yeah, it is custom (i didn't do it!! don't kill me!!) =) the last owner actually spent alot of money on the car... then he moved back to japan... so sold his car with all the parts included, for only 3500....

and alot of things are custom (sometimes it is a bad thing)
custom wiring, custom exhaust back... it annoys me... =)

Yes we have established that I am a crazy mo

My system right now is basically that, except 2 ebay mufflers instead of 1 CS one.

Still, that's one less muffler and nearing just running a straight pipe all the way back.
