post up your period blood red interior

help me out, i found a great deal on a red tII. but it has red interior. i hate red interior. i don't even like red cars that much. but maybe somebody has added a red racing seat or somethign to "spice it up" a little. and if your still rocking the stock red, post a pic if you have one anyways. it will make me feel a little better.

I'll have mine up tommorow, but the red is alright for me. Everyone else doesn't like it but I roll differently I guess. And this is the only car that has all the interior pieces except the ones that I just took off for my haltech installation.

Is there a wrong price when it comes to getting rid of the red interior?

I know a guy down in lemoore/hanford area that re-dyed his FB dash black. he did the carpet aswell. came out looking pretty damn good. he's the one that first told me about recoloring. and it didn't get on the clothes either. I'll have to see if I can get in touch with him and see what coloring product he used.

I like my burgundy interior. Well, I like the color anyway. The center console is gone, the driver's seat is ripped to hell, and I'm missing several plastic pieces all over the place. But I like the color!

I live in Tallahassee, home of the FSU Seminoles, the school colors are garnet and gold. I have a burgundy interior, and my paint is the factory gold. How convenient.

I thought people hated the burgundy just because it faded (nasty green!). If someone is getting rid of a perfectly fine (not faded/broken/torn) burgundy interior, shoot me a pm.

let me know, would come in handy for some items when i do my black interior swap. black S4 seat belts seem to be the least common thing to find.

FYI....Seat belts are the only thing I've ever dyed with much success.

heres my burgundy interior

BEFORE:

it wasn't that bad, but it was very faded to like brownish green (you can see to the right of the shifter on the carpet in the 2nd pic). i would've liked it if it was in good shape.

AFTER:

I still have a black sparco drivers seat to go in and sheetmetal door panels, should look a lot better but definitely less 'comfortable

EDIT: didnt realize how dirty it was in that pic, looks a lot better when its cleaned and without all the wires and crap everywhere.

I painted my interior black with dye and red for the trim(reg spray)
It looks really good, except I kept my driverseat red and used a shitty seatcover for passenger
I also paided the rest of the carpet and interior and I ripped the roof thing out so it's metal on top. It looks much better than stock

I just got a 90 GXL with that interior too. I personally hate it, I probably wont be restoring the car or trying to make it "nice" with this color interior unless I get an extra grand to dump into the swap. Just got it because it only had 55k (with a bad TOB I didn't notice ) . I still think I should've settled for black or blue though. It probably just looks bad becuase its dirty..does anyone have pics of their interior real nice and clean?

i had an 88se with the red interior.. once its cleaned up a little you can live with it. but i tell you my 89 has blue leather and i like it a whole hell of a lot more. still wish my s5 would have had the black interior.

Mines Mixture of the burgandy/black. Used black interior paint to color the vents, center console, and the padded part(door panal) on the doors up top to match with my black racing seats.
