possibly a spark problem?

well, my car stopped acting up so badly and now only one problem remains. it will idle down to right under 1000 rpms nice and smooth, but but i touch the gas it will bounce, then i let off and it goes back down to smooth idle. i was thinking that possibly it could be a spark plug wire or a spark plug that wasn't making enough spark to keep up with the rpms rising. do you guys have any other ideas of what it could be? thanks -jacob
