Man I love this thread! It's easily my favorite thread on the boards right now. I'm also glad to see all the pictures (especially pics of unfinished work!). Keep up the good work man...I anxiously await the next installment .

Tonight after work I decided to put the sleeve on hold and tackle the secondary port, but it was very easy compared to the sixth port which I did yesterday. There was much less metal to grind away. Here is the rough port after about 30 minutes:
Here is why the sixth port sleeve must be ported:
So I cut the top off of the end of the sleeve with a hack saw:
Then I beveled and smoothed the edges of the sleeve's opening with the cutting bit shown mounted on the Dremel (grinding stones clog when used on aluminum vs. iron):
It was necessary to put a dip on the lower opening of the sleeve to match the shape of the roof of the sixth port, due to its slanted opening:

Looks great, i cant wait to buy my dremel, the front and rear housings for my motor came in yeasterday, the middle should be here today!
I know most people recomend using a carbid(sb?) bit for porting, what have you had themost luck with?

Nopistons.com
There are many guys porting turbo rotaries over there and showing pics. "rotary engine building and porting" section.
I've been using regular $4 dremel stones with great results, crackheadme.

Tonight I started working on porting another center housing to the shape of my second primary port:
You can see how my primary shape just goes upwards without changing the opening timing very much.
I just realized tonight, sitting in the car again, that it is going to really kick ***. Isn't that funny? Just now I realized it. I've been focusing on the details of this project for so long that I forgot what I was building.
I will have to re-learn how to drive it because it was so different from my Integra when the engine was stock (no understeer, stiff suspension and power). With this port job I will need to be careful in the rain. I broke the rear tires loose many times just accelerating down a wet street, sometimes in second or third gear . . I'm glad I'll have at least some 205 tires on it now.

Finally started porting my exhaust ports today, I'll get some pics. I'm not going crazy on them or anything, I just want to get them more even with the diffuser, leaving them open at the same time, but close a hair later. Off to take pics of what it looks like so far

Here's my exhaust port so far, sorry for saying diffuser, I keep on calling the exhaust sleeve the diffuser, bah, anyway. My goal was to just match it to the exhaust sleeve, which I've accomplished with the bottom lip, sides, and am about 2mm away from on the top. My first porting, yay. Oh, if you have any suggestions/comments/ideas, please let me know. I don't want to go too crazy with it, as it's just going to be a street ported intake w/upgraded turbo from BNR.

i was hesitant to port mine myself especially when it was my first rebuild
I have a s5 in the garage that needs some new rings and i'm not gonna hold back on that port job this time.
I don't think any two port are exactly the same (between people). It's the 3D nature of them that the art form really comes out.

That's the spirit!
I think the big thing is just take your time. When i was trying to put more force to speed it up i nearly caused a catastrophy - My dremel slipped.
Need less to say i learned not to do that fast.

88Integra, man, you are such a.... man... I dont even know the word, im a complete idiot and forgot. Oh yeah! mentor!!!!
You have inspired me to do a porting job as well. I've been following all your threads, from the DIY painting, front bumper, and now this.
I have a few Q's though...
I'm looking at a port to keep my low-end moderately as it is, with more gain in the high RPMs. Im fine with the low-end torque as it is, so minimizing the low end as much as possible, while gaining the high end.
I would like to do exaust, and intake porting. I guess a moderate streetport.
Now I'm not really sure if doing this, I will only port the aux ports, and the exaust; or everything, and the exaust.
Do you have any pointers? I was thinking... what if I screwed up?! Well, took me 3 days before I figured this out... ALL I HAVE TO DO IS BUY A NEW HOUSING! It's not like I ruined the ENTIRE engine like I previously thought.
Now... to be completely, honest, I have NO clue WTF to do. As in, what is involved. Mainly because I have never seen a housing taken apart in real life before. I know I should go and purchase some old beat up irons somewhere.... but what am i looking to do? Just increase flow? Change the direction of the flow? Make the flow "wider." Again, Ive never seen one taken apart.. and I hear about ya'll taking water hoses to see how its working... Im sure this will all come in time I suppose.
For my desired application (keep low end the same as much as possible, and get as much high end as possible) ( im not looking for ALOT of life to come out of this engine, it has 30K on it now, and id be happy with another60-70K...) do you have any parterns or know of some images I could look at of this desired effect?
I'm pretty damn good with a dremel if I do say so myself, just Im not sure what Im actuall achieving.
Any insight you can provide, would be greatly appreciated.

I would really like to keep the motor I have in it now, but I guess it would be better to just buy a S5 shortblock, and have a S4 "stock" block to fall back on incase the S5 blows... I can just swap all the stuff back on.

Sounds like a mild ported primary with mild secondary and big aux port is what you're after. I did a medium / medium / big port on mine if that is any reference.
The only pointer I could give is practice on an old housing that can't be used before doing one for your engine. You can get junk housings cheap by placing a want ad in the parts for sale section.
. . Well, there is another pointer I could give . . chill in the lounge! Displays of temper gain you no respect anywhere.

Here is about 45 minutes of dremel work:

How it looked after continuing to grind in and blend the bowl shape, as well as the roof under the corner seal track and lower opening of the port (about an hour and a half into the job):
