Ported?
How can you tell if your motor has already been ported? When I purchased my 87 N/A I knew that the previous owner had the motor rebuilt. I noticed that when I start the car in the mornings the motor runs rough till it warms up. I suspect the motor has been ported but can't really tell. I have a modified exhaust and intake already installed. If the motor is not ported it will be :-)

i am legendary
Open it up and look
Otherwise, you can check the exhaust to see if it's had the diffusers removed or been ported at all. Take off your header or exhaust manifold and look into the exhaust ports. If there are no diffusers you might be ported. You can then, if there are no diffusers, put your fingers into the exhaust ports and see how much the port goes down or try and feel to see if it's modified. I'd bet if the exhaust port has been played with then the intake ports probably were too. But of course anything is possible, like removed diffusers and no other porting, or ported intakes with stock exhaust port, whatever.

Running a little rough till it warms up a bit it normal for most FC's. That doesn't mean its ported. You can tell by taking off the exhaust manifold and looking at the exhaust ports.
