Just an intake might put you over fuel cut. I tried to do the homemade FCD in the earlier post but couldn't get it to work correctly. I'm going to make another one. I might have got the op-amp too hot during soldering.

I would start with a basic intake and DP (midpipe if you can) and the car should still be reliable without needing any additional fuel mods, although a fuel pump cant hurt.
I ran into this same dilema and my advice would be to make sure you always have money to fix the necessities like keeping the car running first. That could easily take all of your $80/week.

If anybody out there is trying to make thier own FCD.. I HIGHLY SUGGEST at least getting a PCB from me, no jumper wires, no mussing about, everything plugs in and you just solder away without worrying about how the circuit goes!!! And they fit in an itty bitty box!!
Lemme know how the FCD works for ya Ocelot!
