I vote duals, reason? Because the racing beat exhaust system is the best exhaust made for the rx7, period.

I've got Racing Beat from the engine alllllll the way back to the bumper. It is the absolute sexiest sound you will EVER hear. Go get you some...if you can afford the $1,400 price tag. Worth it for me.

A: i don't think its enough weight difference to matter and B: rx7 is a perfect 50/50 weight split so you sit in the center and you shouldn't have to worry about it unless you have a v8 conversion or you put weight in the back for more grip or something silly along those lines.

Ok so I just got an exhaust violation ticket thrown away, and managed to get another one yesterday.

So If that revII racing beat exhaust flows just as well I would like to change my vote to duals, because im sick of the law.

Nice lookin system. Offset entry is what I have also, flows well but also cancels alot of noise.

My system is closer to the original in design of the y-pipe but I like your dual outlet muffler setup. That placement would have made things a little simpler to route but I have a "cat" in that spot (ie. was a 3" bonez cat which now has its guts liberated from it by the mighty rotary )

haahaha - Nice. Thanks, So far it fits well, haven't heard it yet so I cannot comment about the noise. I dig your tips. VERY sexy. Fits that bumper well. I don't think the stock S5 bumper I'll be running can pull of those tips though.

I'm jealous TTT, I'm just going to be running a single 3" drivers side exit with 2 magnaflow round mufflers and a slight turndown at the end to deflect some noise.

Ah why thank you. . Your setup should sound pretty good when finished. I'm looking for the least amount of noise as possible. I'm actually going to be wrapping the entire exhaust to try to cut down on some noise as well.

You know, we ain't too far apart. I should venture through Jersey when this ride is done

I love duals, but if you're talking strictly for performance you go with a large, light, single.

Once again. =] Just get what you want, if you like duals get some duals, if you like singles, get a single.

But once again, pipe is pipe, save you money and get somthing cheap. Unless you have money to spend on a $1200+ exhaust.

Mk... well a lot of times you get what you pay for. Now, I do have a really cheaply built 2.5" to 2" or 2.25" dual exit system with no cats, 2 cans, but it's not going to last, it doesn't flow as well as it could, and while it sounds ok it doesn't make you think 'damn, that thing must roar (figuratively and or literally) when you get on it'. I'm going to buy the REVII system when I get the chance, too, it's a gorgeous, quality system that will last, perform, and sound great.

Yeah, whatever you say there chief. Why don't you go build an exhaust out of some 20 or 22 gauge mild steel or even some aluminum and report back with the piece of **** system that you created. Not only will it sound like ****, but it's life will be measured in weeks unless ti is professionally coated inside and out. Me, I'll stick with 16 or thicker gauge stainless, either 304, 308 or even better, 321 and have an exhaust that will actually last. I can't stand it when people post up complete & utter bullshit. I bet you think that ebay has great turbo's too becuase an CHRA is a CHRA right?

For a given amount of backpressure and all else being equal a dual system will be quieter, but heavier. You just have to decide what's more important to you.
