Polishing sucks, but it looks great!

winter39- All that I have used on mine are: dremel tool, sanding drums(to get it semi smooth), some conical grinding bits(to get into the deep grooves), and a lot of hand sanding to work out the rest of the rough stuff. Then I polished using the dremel tool and bits, but the final polish was done by hand with Mothers Polishing cream.

I think sandpaper is sandpaper, assuming the grit is the same.
And I agree, that does look very nice. The closest I've ever come to that kind of work was in cleaning out my engine bay that had 240k miles of road grime on it. I can't afford anything at the moment, so I cleaned it with paper towels and mineral spirits.
