PLZ link me to battery relocate tutorial
#2
its easy bro, ground from the battery to the chassy, pos to the starter, from the starter to the fuse box and alt THATS if you s4 all youll have fun with is getting the battery driver side harness and re do it with the wiring from the starter, just find some 2 g wiring and make sure to have crimps and heat shrinks, a nice breaker if ud like and a fuse set up in case you **** on something, from here just look at your ride and think about what i just told ya and you'll realize how easy it is its not like your building a rocket lol as for the bracket goto summit or a race shop and get a box or something to hold your battery, also check on getting a optima battery because its a drycell its alot safer from busting juice all over. that would hurt. lol im sure someone will **** talk about what iv said but iv done this 432532532 times, and it'll cost ya about less then 100 bucks if you get some good wire and battery bracket, pm me if you want pictures on how i do it

thx, i actually had a pretty good idea on how to do it bc ive installed plenty of car stereos & amps & junk, that and my car is basically stripped on the inside atm.. i was just kinda looking for some pics and a decent writeup so i know the best way to route the wiring + mount the battery. if you have pics that would be awesome if u could post them up but if not thats cool. at this point im pretty confident i could get er done w/o blowing my car up.

heres what we did to hellcats t2, it took us no lie about less then 2 hours
in this bay picture i relocated the fuse box under the ic piping and re wired the whole battery harness with ease
and heres your basic diagram homie, tho we wired everything alittle diffrent

This is about as wrong as it gets...
Where is the breaker or fuse?
That's about the worst way of possibly doing this. Using the starter as a junction point introduces a tonne of noise into the electrical system, causes a major voltage drop while cranking the car, and exposes a critical connection to road nasties (water, salt, etc.). This is why nearly every production car made in the last 30 years has a separate wire from the positive battery terminal to the fuse box, and another low gauge cable to serve the starter.
The image quoted above is from RETed's site and is a good diagram. Personally I don't see the need for two breakers, but to each his own.
If you want to do the relocation properly, you will need to have a breaker as close to the battery physically and electrically as possible, then run your + cable to a distribution block (not one of those crappy stereo store blocks) in the engine bay. Then run a wire out to the fuse box and another to the starter. I prefer to ground in at least two locations since it ads redundancy.
