Just buy one from guitarjunkie, i just put one of his on a members 88 gtu n/a
and it has a noticeable throttle response. Best bang for the buck and i didn't have to do the porting. Last porting i did was on my 84se intake system. 8 hours of porting with a hand drill. Was it worth it, well their is a noticeable gain thru out the rpm range.

Once you remove the secondary plates, you can start porting. Dremel works with one of those carbide bits or whatever they're called.

Don't take this wrong. If you have to ask that , doing your own port job may not be such a good idea. First we need to walk, then we run. Which means that you need to get aquianted with working on your new toy.
Recommend that you get a haynes manual at your parts store and read thru it.
Unless you have a dremel with all the attachments you are going to spend more porting it than buying one done.
recommend that you develop your basic mechanical skills before you step into the abyss of mods, just my opinion. rx7doctor

I would try to acquire a spare if you're gonna do it yourself. If not then pay someone to do it for you. It's not a bad mod.
