Please Help: right rear caliper lock pin frozen
So I've been workin my way through a brake system rebuild, I replaced the master cylinder, did mazdatrix steel brake lines (why do they have english sized bolts on them i'll never know) bled the system and am now putting in pads. I have an 86 with the four bolt hubs and single piston front rotors.
Fronts went in no problem, but the caliper lock pins were pretty tight coming off.
Rears are being a royal pain. I don't know whats up, I can't get the caliper lock pin to loosen up. I've just about rounded off all the points on the lock pin now. Was wondering if anyone had a clue for me. Please tell me its not reverse thread.
I can't get a ratchet or impact wrench on the caliper due to the suspension being in the way. I guess I could take off the trailing arm. someone please give me a clue! I'm just about at the point now of either cutting off the lock pin head or notching it so i can hit it with a hammer.
Any help is appreciated.
