Please help me identify/understand this

I have purchased an 87 TII few months back and I keep finding S5 parts on it. First the injectors were swapped. Then found it had the S5 TB now I'm not sure about the turbo. What makes me wonder is that the wastagate actuator rod is bent. Is that only on s5 turbos? Is there any other way to tell? Makes me wonder if the whole freaking engine is a s5! How can find that out? Is there a way to visually tell the difference just from looking at it?
Another weird thing I noticed is after taking it to the drag strip last night. I have corksports full 3" exhaust and I've been told that I would get boost spikes like up to 13psi. So I go to the track take out my restrictor/silencer and floor it (don't worry i have few fuel mods). And I'm holding like steady 7.5-8 psi?! WTF!. Shouldn't I get more with full open 3"exhaust ? And that's when it hit me, cause I remember that's about the same pressure for s5 turbo which has a bigger wastegate than s4. Please give me some clues so I can verify what has been swapped in my rx-7.

Do you have a mechanical or electrion OMP?

This is what an s5 wg actuator rod looks like

The wg could also be ported. That would explain no boost creep. Unless you have a large leak somewhere or the turbo is dying. Any smoke out of the exhaust?

Yes I do get some white smoke usually when I start up the car, but I think that's because my water seal in the engine is leaking . I know for sure that I have some side to side play on my compressor wheel. Could that explain why I didn't get boost spikes?
