please help guys...gauge cluster

alright...

i've got 2 instrument clusters, one jdm s5 t2 and one u.s. s4 t2

-the body harness is the stock one from the s4 chassis.

-the engine harness is the jdm one from the s5 engine that i imported and swapped.

on the s5 t2 jdm cluster:
-speedo = works
-tac = works
-oil gauge= works
-temp gauge = doesn't work
-boost gauge = doesn't work (however running aftermarket gauge no worries)
-lights don't illuminate
-fuel gauge = doesn't work

right turn signal will flash when signal is flipped but left one does not (on the indicators, outside they flash normally)

on the s4 t2 u.s. cluster:
-speedo = works
-tac = doesn't work
-oil gauge = doesn't work
-temp gauge = doesn't work
-boost gauge = doesn't work (however running aftermarket gauge no worries)
-fuel gauge = doesn't work

left signal gets nothing when switch is flipped. right signal will make the instrument cluster flash on and off with the clicking indicator from the box

a shop re-wired a few things of which i have absolutely no clue as to what exactly they did...im trying to figure out now if re-wiring the plug that goes to the back of the instrument cluster will fix any of these issues with the t2 s4 cluster.

these plugs are the ones im talking about that i can try repining if it will fix anything

one other thing that bothers me a little is this plug...it has several black wires comming out of it and it looks like some kind of multi-ground plug or something anyone know what this little guy is?

are you using a stock ecu?
what cluster do you want to use?

you cannot use a s5 engine harness/ecu with a s4 body harness they don't plug in.
to answer your other thread you probably have a s5 turn signal switch.
use the stock plug that came with your car, look at the round plugs and look at the numbers:now which numbers have a black wire coming from it? look at the one with two plugs first and tell me that one.

its a redom ecu re-amemiya chipped.
id like to use any us cluster that will work honestly...i need to get a hold of an s5 cluster just to see if that makes any difference. i haven't gotten to try that out yet.

on the plugs....the round black plug has a black wire coming from number 1
and the white round plug has black wires coming from it looks like 2 and 4

alright that is a s5 harness you can either repin it for the s4 gauge cluster or buy a s4 harness as a matter of fact i might have one i can sell you.
if you decide to repin here it is you might have wires left over just let me know what they are and i can see where they go.

im just praying that it works...it would be really nice to see my gauge cluster work so i can get to work on actually tuning up the car and getting her all nice and cleaned up.

alright so...following your guidelines this is what worked and what didn't.

worked:
tach
turn signal indicators
hazard indicators
oil gauge

did not work:
dash illumination
fuel gauge
temp gauge (although not a big deal as i will most likely be installing aftermarket)

there was an annoying *** buzzer as well that will not stop no matter what i do...overheat exhaust warning light comes on but that is always on all the time since the swap (i believe it has something to do with a sensor that is not hooked into my exhaust since we changed out the piping)

if you could help me finish this baby up i'd be overjoyed at this point...im almost there.
