How do you feel about a EBC controller compared to using a standalone EMS to controll it?

no wonder that thing is so ****** expensive, costs more then the S-AFC II
my friend has one... he got cheap 2nd hand...
I now realize he as no clue what it's capable of and doesn't use it nearly to it's full potential..

I can tell you right now, Haltech boost control SUCKS DONKEY *****!
I can't comment on other stand-alone boost controllers, but the Haltech ones is NASTY!

It can do RPM dependent boost level control.
It can do transmission gear-based boost control.
It has like 4-channel signal input monitoring.
I've got a 1st gen AVC-R without the fancy blue screen VFD, and I love it.
In fact, used units are in demand cause these are supposedly programmed to be mroe aggressive with the boost curve, and a lot more reliable and consistent.
