about water....what can i do to keep water out of the electrical stuff, there are only the tuen signal light wires i think......

I like the styling more w/o them. But its not improving air flow to anything but the head lights You could make some ducting or whatever if you wanted to. Or make a custom air box and cut out the metal behind the headlight so there is air flow.

My car didnt have any FTP covers and at the moment its buried in a good 5 inches of snow. Neverhad any problems so far and its been raining the last 5 days or so.

There is zero improvment on air flow to the intake with the FTP lenses removed (you would have to cut metal for any real help) and a decent increase in aero drag.

1. No there isnt because the stock intake snorkle feeds air from in front of the radiator ducting, where the relays are.
2. The stock intake does not have a cone filter.
3. Even if by some miracle, that in an area of low pressure, the air would SOMEHOW rush through a solid object, in this case, a headlight, and then pass through sheet metal... it would STILL have to get into the stock airbox somehow.
4. You've now fucked up your aerodynamics. Sit down and congratulate yourself with a drink of your choice.

Yes, the japan FC's have little lights installed inside the FTP lenses. they are mounted in the corners of the FTP lenses.. when driving around in japan everything is VERY well lit. so people just use the city lights... not many people use headlights... unless driving down a dark road. I've seen the FTP with lights inside for sale at Rx7.com. they are like 120$ It's basically japan's version of our FTP lense.
Of couse you could get crafty and grind out the back part... install a small (but useful) fog light... and than turn your regular headlight on.. just my 2 Cents

Japanese FC's had front marker lights in place of FTP lenses. They're not city lights or daytime running lights, they're just a 5W bulb. You can barely see them during the day.
Personally I wouldn't stick anything in the FTP lenses because then you can't flash your high beams to signal other drivers.

i replaced the stock intake manifold with a cone filter...but i left the "snorkle" thing on to direct air flow, i guess that came out wrong.
and there is a path for air, through the lense holes, under the lights, and up to the top of the filter
