I still defend Pineapple Racing and say not to pass because of these cases. If your serious about the sleeves, when you call to order ask about what has happend to others and what they recommend you do or what they have done to solve the problem.
All great products have their faults. This one just happens to be major.

If you have a extra set of sleeves around, you could just send them to Pineapple and have them fit them/secure them. I beleive they do it for free.
I remember reading somwhere that the intake charge could reach speeds upto 120mph (Correct me if I'm wrong.). Think of what happens when you're removing the sleeves. Not only does it dead end, but there's also a lip. This is not good for airflow at all. I would guess you would get a high pressure area at high rpms, becuase the intake charge is'nt being ramped into the motor. This high pressure area, could'nt be anygood for airflow. CJ

I'm sure you will find that almost everyone here thinks the concept is great, however, not at the chance of loosing an engine.
I myself would pay twice as much if the were machined one piece units.

I wouldn't say that's a contradiction, simply because I suggest you ask the source what has been done to correct the problem.
My only contradiction is that I talk them up while I don't even have a set. I just think it's a good design. Simple, but good.

Yeah, they seem pretty solid. On that aviation failer link someone sent, i think that could happen on any sleeves, pineapple or not, since they all have the rods (even though might be pressed in better, but no proof either way). Another thing, who the HELL is going to trust a rotary engine flying a plane?! sure as hell not me, hell i hardly trust them to get me to school and work with-out a break down
