I almost have everything together. The exhaust and DP is here. the exhaust sounds great with OEM DP and cat. but when I went to put the DP on it was about 2-3 inches too long. I later found out that the jdm 7's cat is about 3" shorter than ours so thats why the Apexi DP is 3" longer. Hopefully i can find someone to make the pipe today to finish it if not it will have to wait till tomarrow. Then ill upload a video. I will tell you though so far it sounded great I was very happy with it

I got back from the exhaust place this morning. They unded up removing the cat and making a pipe to connect the DP and cat back. I am extremely happy with the outcome. It could be just me but i deff noticed a difference from stock exhaust. Only thing is that i didnt port the wastegate large enough and now fuel cut a couple times so ill redo it tommarrow. I have to run to my moms to get the flip cam and ill post video.

went from a 2.5" with a resonator and 2.5" muffler, to a this 3" all the way no cats/resonator or anything with this muffler and the car got much deep and quieter. cant beat it in my opinion...

Hushpower, look it up on Jegs...

What resonator are you running with ?

The ONLY other ****** that has the same exhaust as me, yes!

The aluminum exhaust **** is retarded, i don't care if it works, it's still retarded, inconel is ******* **** though.

And to all of you complaining about loud exhaust, fix your damn exhaust leaks, and buy new gaskets! You can also spray hi temp copper color gasket maker on to seal older gaskets. I swear, my **** was SO much quiter after I got a new downpipe gasket, and sprayed the sealer on my turbocharger gaskets, it was awesome.

Take a rev 2 Racing beat exhaust, it will be loud as **** too if you reuse shoddy gaskets on it.

I dont want to steal the thread, but how big of a muffler can you fit in the heat shields? i tried measuring it today and i got like 28"x9" plus like 4"-9" deep. im looking for the quietest mufflers that are still straight through mufflers, something hi flow and quiet. also, anyone know the size of the stock cat? my car came straight pipe and im looking to quiet it without losing too much power.

Here is short video of Mazda working on idle. It's very loud so I didn't rev it hard... maybe something like 3k rpm. Idle is 1300 rpm.

Yes, the problem is they were wrapped... The wrap melted off.

I re-wraped them, and cliped them further up. I also added a turbo blanket. It seems to have helped.

The only videos I have are short and cell phone videos from a couple of years ago.

I would say Id take a new one, but she is in peaces right now.

This is right after I went big turbo and put the Haltech in. As you can tell she was running rough, pre-tunning. (Yes, this is at idle. Yes it revved on its own.) I had bought the turbo used and it was blown as well... So that explains the smoke.

A really quick in car as well. Note: the temp gauge was not hooked up at this time, so it was indeed at running temperature.

Hopefully she will be up again soon and I can take a new video with a real camera.

I was cheering for you since I like your exhaust, but that's a super weak responce! You try to type that same reply in his language... I could finish this post with either of these replies:

- ******* Yank!
- That's why the world hates Americans!
- etc.

But I won't... Although I kinda did, HaHa!

Riz.
dude I was thinking the same thing, what a lame attack, someones lack of proper english when their location clearly shows they're in Europe. Actually it really doesn't matter where the **** they are, this aint no dang english forum, so **** that ****, as long as you get the point who cares? No wonder so many hate Americans!

Anyways, I also disliked the sound from that one video in post #82. It looks like Gaber does really good work tho.
