I have a question about the CD player kit that you have (he has). I'm wondering what company it is. I got the metra kit, and although the top bar where the top screws for the kit goes in is broken, it didn't end up looking like that. If it is the metra kit then maybe a previous owner has 'modified' the stereo surround. I hope that's not the case.

It is the stock suround for the car and the stereo is a sony mobile . the amps are california series 400 watt 4 chanel and a 400 watt kenwood 2 channel for the 10 inch sony explode subs.

sheet metal. rivited on and painted to match . I used foam to match the contor of the hood to keep out the heat.

sweet job on the airbox, the matching paint is a nice touch. does your amp stay cool enough behind the seat there?

That's the same CD player I have...installing them is a bitch...I've never gotten a good install kit for a Mazda.

My 91 has the same mileage and the same header kit.
The cold box does look good..

I am thinking of getting a similar setup. I was thinking of either making a casing for the subs or putting them in the compartments. How do you find the sound coming from there? Would you recommend me making a casing and putting them more near the rear or doing the same type of thing that you did?

Also, as the other guy said, do you find the amps getting too hot?
