No, I changed the plugs before it started doing this. Goes like this:

Changed the plugs, fired the car right up. Took it to the store to get something to drink, fired right up when I left there. Parked it in the school parking lot for about 20-30 minutes, then decided to leave for the night. That's when it just kept cranking but wouldn't start.

Maybe try unflooding it. It can't hurt and might help. I don't recall being able to hear my pump, but I can't go outside to check it
That is a really clean car, though. I want your interior. Mine is pretty crappy.

My walbro primes when the key is on. I thought my car was out of gas the other day and it wouldn't crank. I rolled it off and it was fine when I got gas in it. It wouldn't crank because the battery was dead and wouldn't run my pump. It sounds like your alt is ******* up because the system isn't charging right. Check the alt and if thats fine then do the rotaryresurrection grounding kit. I did it and all of my dimming problems almost completely vanished. To check the alt you need to let the car idle and take the neg batt cable off. If it dies then its the alt not charging correctly.

After about 20 minutes trying to figure out how power was supplied to the fuel pump, we figured it out. Does anyone here have a fuel pump "kill switch" in their car. Yeah, I figured out what the black switch on the center console between the seats was, and now I feel stupid. Car started right up.

As far as the stalling at a stop light. I raised the idle to about 850-900rpm and the stalling went away. I'll let you know if it comes back.

Don't most FC's have flooding problems?

I'm thinking this kill switch may have been installed after the car was originally purchased. Either by the dealer, or someone else. I looked in the owners manual, and it has zero information on what the switch is for.

In this picture you can see the switch next to the orange security thing between the seats:

BTW: Does anyone have an extra thing that goes there with just the security light? I'd like to eliminate the kill switch...

No photoshop here. The car does have it's flaws, a few door dings on the outside, that panel with the kill switch is cracked. The severe curbing that screwed the passenger side up.

All in all it was a good buy though. Just can't wait to get modding.

Nice pick up.

Why eliminate the fuel kill switch? They come in handy.

For what exactly? I'm not the only one with this switch I presume. It's not in the owners manual, so was it put there later by Mazda?

Well, as of right now, there are no more problems. I ordered the clutch kit today, should go in next week. And I still have to get the car on a lift to see exactly where the oil leak is coming from. Have a pretty good idea that it's coming from the oil pan. (I hope)

These never came from the factory, they were put there by owners to act as a bandaid for flooding. You might as well keep it, it probably well come in handy sometime soon.
