pics of my new FC

my new FC
- https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=298664

okay, i decided to start a new thread for the pics...

notice the S4 mirrors (i think they are)...[it came this way]
1) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698103

i personally don't really like the rims on there now (they are okay i guess), i plan on selling them once i get the $$$ to buy the ones i want...i also have the original factory rims, but the tires are gone on them...
2) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698083

don't mind the dead bugs...i was going a little too fast down a country road
3) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698920

continuing on the mystery of the s4 body parts...notice the tail lights...that antenna isn't a power antenna either, just manual...and don't mind the exhaust, still waiting to get a new system (or at least mufflers)...oh yeah, no spoiler either
4) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698921

the interior...
5) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698100
6) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698082

and finally the wankel itself...
7) http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpub...sp?id_=8698079

let me know what you guys think...oh yeah and if the picture don't work let me know too...

looks pretty nice, those are t2 seats too. considering he couldve sold them for a couple hundred, he might have swapped out the s5 tails before he gave it to you.

http://www.carfax.com/cfm/FSBO.cfm?r...FC3332K0707676

i can understand lots of the parts are s4, but you are telling me that my engine is an s4 also? i don't think so...maybe, but i have been using the 89 FSM and everything is where it should be...

Nice!!

Very nice car! But damn what a "mutt" (dont take that the wrong way ) From what i see you have S5 mouldings, gauges, radio soroud and maybe a few other things. The shifter, radio, engine bay, looks like S4. Im sure I'm missing a few things here and there but your engine bay is DEFFINATLY S4 (at least the manifolds are).

Here is a picture of an S5 engien bay to compare to yours.

"*a*jones*" Engine bay I found on

Another thing the way the writing on the back of the car is, it looks like its an S4. Im not *sure* but I think that most S5s have "rx7" in a decal instead of the plastic letter thing, BUT I can't be quoted to that.

yeah, all the gauges seem to be working just fine...

and thanks for the complements...

but:
holy crap, you guys are saying that i have an s4 engine in there the last thing i expected was to find out my car has the WRONG ENGINE in it...

should i go ask for my money back (no offense s4 guys)? how the hell would that even work, unless the whole damn thing is pretty much an s4...i am just so confused right now...

whats the title say?

Edit: Hey I was thinking a minute ago about your situation. If the title DOES in fact say its an S5 car, THEN I think for SURE you should take it back. For one its obviously had an engine swap (which you don't know the creditials of whoever did it). Another thing, in your area, it might be even illegal to install a motor with an older date than the car, though I don't know.

Reguardless of what you want to do, act fast. If it does turn out to be a true S4 car, I'd say keep it! Its really nice, has some good body work done to it and some "upgraded" (in my opinion) parts such as the mouldings and bumpers. If you're doubting the ability of an S4 to keep up with the S5s, I have some boys down in GA that'll tell you about the 14.6 S4 N/A that was once.

Well i dont know too much about carfax, other than its been wrong before. The sticker on the door though (im guessing thats where that last picture is from) tells the cars an S5. Weird.. you should deffinatly look more into this. Check the title to be sure, carfax is iffy sometimes.

About the FSM, pretty much both cars are close to the same. Id use the S4 for the time being i guess, heh... you're in a bind with that one

Good luck man, sounds like some sort of foul play somewhere around here. Oh yeah last thing you have S4 tail-lights too, but I think that was covered.

if you look at the VIN, the code is ...FC333... this stands for s5 coupe (non-auto belts), not turbo...
