Where did you mount your aftermarket (Bosch?) Trailing Coil ignitor?

I didnt, i havent gotten it yet, its on the list of many many things to do. Starts and runs w/o the trailing coil even hooked up, i dont know if you can tell but in thoes pictures, the trailing plug wires arent even on, they are in a box.. on a shelf
What is the difference between this motor and the one from the 3rd gen, I believe its called the 13B REW?
Do you use the cosmo RE engine becuase the motor mounts are the same and its better than the TII engine?
enlighten me, i have no idea

I got this engine because i think its pretty and i already have a halfbridge motor built for my other rx7 so i figured might as well just drop somthing fun into this one
That'd be my question. I haven't done a ton of swap research yet, but it's definatly peaking my interest more everyday. It seems to be cheaper then buying a TII and a hell of alot more fun ripping everything apart.
Fun hell yes, ill do it again in a year or so too, a quick tally will show how this wasnt cheaper than buying a TII
Car: 1100
Turbo 1050
EMS uh.. 1000ish
manifold 300?
motor 1100ish shipped
clutch 400
rear end (75+ alot of labor)
tranny (free + alot of labor)
LM-1 + LMA-3 650
Intercooler 120
BOV 160iirc
wastegate 250
exhaust cost me 130 for the pipe
Intercooler piping was free (intreasting story. i might type it if i dont get lazy)
I have over 400 in recipts in my wallet from trips to napa and pro auto for the 'little things'
injectors 120
fuel 60 used
i know im forgettin stuff, i still need a larger rad before summer, im going to run a propan injection system bla bla.. so yeah. it was expensive
I drew tears when i saw this...literely great job man!! =)

So whats the benifit to using a 13B-RE as opposed to a 13BT (is that right?) from a TII or the 13B-REW from an FD? I know nothing about these swaps so I was just curious.

Stock for stock, the RE makes a little bit more power, (i think more tq too) I belive there is a potential for larger ports and runers than that of other eengines. Not alot really

Goto Engine swaps and you can learn why the RE is a better choice for FC then the REW (imho). Plus it fits alot easier.

Jacob, it looks incredible! I recently got rid of my 1/2 bridge -RE in favor of a 20B. In all honesty, I wish I could have kept that engine as well! They DO have great potential, so enjoy it.
FWIW, I ran a Garrett 60-1 with a .70 front and a 1.15 hotside and loved it. After that, just before I got rid of the engine, I had a GT40 non-BB on there. If I had kept it, I KNOW I would have had huge amounts of HP.
Get yourself that radiator, and you should be good to go. Good luck with it!
