While we are on the door handle topic. I thought the reason they broke was the hinge pins became wore and when lifting the handle it would catch on the non moving part of the handle (top edge). I had cut the pins out of my broken handle and had planed to replace it with one solid rod to see if that would keep it aligned better. If it worked I wanted to do it to my other door handles before they broke. Haven't had time to finish this.

Not sure, the only broken ones I have seen (2) Have been broke where mine was in the picture. It looks like the weakest point when you take it apart.

I also ordered new door window trim (that strip that runs along the bottom of the window that is always rusty). The new trim is plastic not metal and is coated with a clear plastic to maintain protection and shine...$30 each. I also got brand new JDM FTP's when I had the nose resprayed and mazdaspeed lip put on...all these little things make it look and feel almost like new
Sounds like what I did, bought a new handle for the drivers side, new trim for the bottom of both windows, the strip around the top on both as well.

Up here in Canada this stuff adds up, but it sure looks a lot better then the crusty pitted parts they replaced! The way I see it don't matter how much you wax the paint, if it is framed by ugly trim it'll never look as good as it could
