Pic Needed: 89 Turbo - O2 sensor wire.
A few months ago I bought a 89' n/a with a 91' US-spec Turbo swap. It had a number of issues that I've been slowly working through, and it's almost done. However, I do have one more problem.
The O2 sensor wire burned off from being too close to the turbo. I have a wiring diagram from a Haynes manual, but can't seem to find where the O2 wire comes out of the harness. To compliate things, the harness may not be run in exactly the stock location.
If anyone would be able to post a pic of where that wire comes out of the harness, I would greatly appreciate it. Or, if you can give a good description on how to find it, that might work as well.
Once I get that done...I need to swap the old tired tranny with a ebay j-spec (hopefully a good one) and rebuild the starter and I'll be good to go!

I had the same issue with my NA.
The wire was broken underneath the intake manifold. I looked for it for days, then reached my hand in there and found it. I was able to pull it out enough to see it, but I didn't want to use a butt connector, and the space was so tight I was not sure I could even a good connection on the wire.
I ended up pulling the 02 pin on the ECU connector and soldered a new wire to the pin. I then ran the new wire out to the sensor.
Also, get a new o2 sensor whatever you decide to do. Yours is probably broken. The generic Bosch one is $20 with no connector.

The car has a really nice Racing Beat turbo-back exhaust, and the guy I bought it from said the O2 sensor was brand new when the exhaust was put in less than 1 year ago.
I had the UIM taken off last week to fix some fuel and vacuum leak issues, so while I was in there I routed the harness to sit in front of the UIM and behind the alternator. As long as I can find that wire, I should be good to go. All emissions have been removed so I do have a number of wires that arent connected to anything, so that makes a loose wire a little more camoflaged. Hehe

My experience was that the 02 wire was sheilded. Everyone said it was supposed to be grey, but it looked black to me. I have some extra wires in my engine harness as well, so running a new one was the simplest option for me.
