Nothing 'rice' about painting the parts, unless it's an obnoxiously retarded color (anything ending in neon, for example. Or a color named after a sesame street character)

Looks good!

I want to do everything in my engine bay in gunmetal and black, that'd be really clean I think.

so how did u protect the housing insides when u painted them?

alot of duct tape?

i gonna paint mine silver, all housings, but i probably wont' paint the exhaust areas, as the paint will probably flake off anyway.

Looks very nice. I did the same thing, except went with the aluminum instead of the silver paint, but still used gloss black.

you use wide masking tape or its also called painters tape. you can get it in the painting isle of hardware stores. i reccomend you cover up the big holes on the sides of the housing as well to keep spray out. its easy just tape paper over it.

here is it taped up.

IT was real hard to see what actualy went on in that pic, I couldnt tell. Good to hear you got it straight. You;re sure the seal can't move around and break then? I've seen "repaired" rotors with broken/cracked sideseals because of this. And you got it back together without any issues?
