performance ecu
i want to get a performance ecu for my car...what is a good company to go with? i can't afford a haltech..and am not looking for something i can program at home..all i want is a drop in ecu that will give me some more power

I've heard nothing but bad things about those... VERY expensive prices and low gains.
Maybe you should get a MSD 6A Ignition. They are reletively cheap and improve fuel economy AND add some good hp.

Well most after market ECU's have to be programed, and if dont know much about them, like I suspect, you will need some one to tune them for your at a dyno mostlikely.
If all you want is some extra power, and oyu not going to do more than basic mods to your car, I recomend the MD ECU chip, the best version is the Auto-X chip due to the gains it gives, and it cost $300.
Do a search on ECU Chip, there have been many threads on it. if you want to be able to tune it, get a Super AFC or something.

BTW When I said "to be able to tune it" I meant the CAR's fuel and such. not the ECU Chip jsut to let yo uknow.
But if you want some drop in HP, that chip is the only workign one thats made.
