Question performance change after oil change

I have noticed a significant difference in performance after changing my oil, however this basicall only lasts a couple of thousand K's, is this normal and is there any way to keep the oil clean longer?

The other thing is the car sounds different on the clean oil, and rev's smoother, and is basically a lot more fun to drive.

I change the oil and filter every 5000 Km's or just over every 3100 miles.

Its not uncommon for a car to regain some lost power by changing vital fluids or a tune up. I would recommend you change your oil every 2000-3000 miles. Not sure what the conversion to km is. I am assuming you also change your oil filter everytime with the oil change?

The reason I am concerned is that it is a significant difference, and the performance gain fades away rather quickly. You can see the oil is quite dirty at the 5000 Km change (ruffly 1 mile = 1.6 Km). My other non rotor cargets it's oil changed every 10,000 Km's and is not any where near as bad, and you don't really notice any difference after it has been changed.

I am I suffering from carbon build up? If so has any one used any engine clean (besides Optimax/Ultimate)?

I use penrite HPR30 which is SAE 20W-60, I was using a semi-symthetic (SAE 15W-60), but that was during winter down here, which was about 3 change ago.
