PD elimination question -- genuine question, have searched..
I'm looking to go through with the banjo bolt mod, and I have read most of the major threads on the discussion/debate of this topic. While they provided me an innumberable amount of valuable information, i found it odd that not ONE thread actually explained how and what i need to do the mod... o.0
I've read the article/write-up on fc3spro.com, and it leads me to believe i just simple replace the PD with the bolt and im done with. Couple other threads on this forum reveal that replacing fuel lines is ideal. I also read something about using rubber lines to actually take some of the pulsations, which seems like a good idea but still i find it odd that various threads/posts are inconsistent.
Now my main question is what exactly do i need to go through with such a mod? Do i just screw off the PD and screw in the banjo bolt? Do i need to order just the banjo bolt or do i need the one with crush washers and hose end? Do i really need to replace fuel lines? Do i need to replace the fuel lines with rubber ones?
And in summary, what is the parts list i need to perform this mod?
Note: I understand that this topic has been beaten to death with a wooden bat and then some but i simply cannot find HOW to to do this mod, while i understand WHY i should/shouldnt do it. So if anyone can either tell me or point a lowly n00bert in the right direction, i shall be forever grateful.

I know that when I did the PD mod after my PD fire, I had to replace all of the rubber/plastic hoses around there b/c of the fire... besides that, I think its only like four fuel hoses, I didnt replace any other fuel lines... All I did to perform the mod was: went to local junkyard and found a primary fuel rail. took the banjo bolt off of it, the bolt opposite the pd., then I took off my p.d. and put the bolt there, using the copper washers... It was a simple $0.75 job that saved me from buying another p.d. and allowing me to recover from the fire quicker... As of now, I would say about 3 months later, I have no problems... Since I performed rig I have been removing and checking my fuel injectors once a month to test them to see if the p.d. mod really does ruin them; but they are still good as of now, only had to change the o-rings which are normal on old injectors.
