Parts/tools needed for 13bt Rebuild

I'm going to prep for a rebuild and I'm trying to decide who to buy from and what tools I may need.

I remember something about an old Apex seal or dentist set for cleaing out the seal tracks.
Anything else that will help?

Then the rebuild kit itself.

The engine I plan on building will be
S5 Streetported 13BT stock turbo running 12psi daily driven.

So.
Names I've heard are.
Atkins seals
Mazda OEM
Rotary Aviation

Anyone recommend a cheap kit which does 200-280rwhp fine?

I'm a bit confused on the kits needed since they have many modular kits.
Assuming the engine is in good internal condition.
I will need at a minimum
Apex seals,springs
Corner seals,springs
Side seals,springs
Oil o-rings
Coolant O-rings
Then the external gasket set

Any upgrades worth doing?
93 corner seal springs will be one I plan on.

I've heard good things about Mazda OEM for boosted situations.
I've heard Avaiation stories about previous batches but how about now?
Atkins.. Never heard anythign but my current build has them and it's lasted 45k+ so far.

As for Mazda OEM. Know any delaerships which will give a discount like Mazdaformance did?

Thx

I'm thinking of this kit plus some external gaskets like LIM/UIM and a few orings.

look into the archives if you havent already..there is a thread related to cheap plus well built do it yourself rebuilds.....it is a good..it helped me decide as to what and how to rebuild my engine. From looking at it..mainly you will need the gasket kit..and everything else it is cheaper if you piece it together...rather then buying a whole entire kit....

call ray at malloy mazda, it'll be more expensive but cheaper than any other deal, nothing beats OEM, 1-888-533-3400, ask for Ray.

Your might want to check this site as well. They rebuilt ours and it's been perfect. They ship anywhere.

Do you plan on rebuilding yourself? Many specific tools involved which are available at www.mazdatrix.com. and very expensive. Again if you are doing this yourself (for the first time) 1. Gooood Luck 2. Atkins rotary has a great video available with step by step instructions. and 3. Gooood Luck again.

If you plan on sending it out there are more than a handful of places that will do it right the 1st time.

Research the archives.. I myself have had great luck with RotorSportsRacing.com but if your in a hurry you might want to try someone else...

I'll probably get the Rotary Aviation vid.

I'll be doing this myself but I do have a large builder base here to get help from.

I wasn't sure which archive to check.Do you remember which one?
