Ricephobia is strongly related to an inability to cope with "ricer" impulses.
In a recent study, a group of people were give a series of bogus tests that would supposedly detect "non-ricer" or "ricer" traits. They were then given fake results, telling some that they were non-ricers and others that they were ricers. Then, their attitudes towards ricers was tested. People who were told they were ricers expressed more ricerphobic feelings than the "non-ricers" ones. The conclusion was that "the tendency for people to derogate ricers is strong when their sense of non-ricery is threatened." The implication of this study is even more disturbing than previous ones. Not only are deeply conflicted closet cases ricerphobic, but so are peple who think that others perceive them as anything other than non-ricer.
This was actually a study conducted on homophobes and homosexuals. It fits well with Santiago's ignorant rants of "rice this" and "rice that" though. Actually I have a feeling it might also be fitting in it's original context.

Sheesh. It's just paint. Not everyone can afford nice wheels. I'm operating my FC on a shoestring budget, and my next serious investment will be good tires. Can't have everything.
I think a couple bucks for paint + a couple hours prep was worth it. And it hasn't chipped off after 9 months.

The only thing I am calling you is ignorant if you read it again. You being gay and a ricer are your own conclusions, which was the original intention of my post. (Something to think about and draw conclusions from.) Which I see is working.
Now if you want proof of why I think your rants are ignorant.......
specially this part
"...because they think because they have a sports car its ok to do whatever you want."
Anyone can do whatever they want to their car, and not because it's a sports car, but because it's their god damn car.

I did not say they can not do anything at all as in an action. I could paint my car purple and put type-r stickers on it. There is no debating there but just because your car is a sports car or fast does not mean you can be tacky about things and noone is going to call you on it. Your the one that does not understand that. People on here think that because they are fast or drive a 7 they can do whatever to their cars( "whatever" meaning stupid ****). That includes things other people get called ricers for just because they drive a geo or whatever. Its a double standard say someone puts a body kit on an economy car and I post a pic on here everybody makes fun of them for it and calls rice but if someone goes out and buys a body kit for an rx-7 or a supra its ok because its a sports car or "it can back it up". I can not beleive you all can't see that double standard.

Not only do you sound ignorant.. but you are proving to be very hard headed.
You remind me of this jehova witness kid that used to ring my doorbell at 9am on saturdays and tried to throw his religion in my face and impose his beliefs and ideals on me. Being nice to him didn't work, so I had to threaten him with a bat.

"Painting them will just make you look more like a ricer than anything. They are the ones always painting **** like their brake calipers and wheels."
"Here that defenition is: anything that is made to look fast but is not fast or actually slows you down."
-1987RX7guy
Wait, ok, so black painted wheels are supposed to make a car look fast. And painting wheels is common among ricers, like LEDs. But, "Well now LED's have nothing to do with rice by common defenition." just like painted wheels and brake calipers? Wait... what? Give it up, you're talking out of your ***.

i just hope the dude that originally started this thread does whatever he wants to do with his wheels, i painted mine and they look good. i used a gunmetal paint that i found a walmart since none of the auto parts stores had it (or at least i didnt see it) and left the polished lip... then i used a Candy Clear coat to make it look thicker and more aftermarket....i spent 20 on everything, thats a helluva lot better than 800 on new rims.....Then today , i even painted the shitty flat black mirrors gloss white and then clear coated them... looks a lot better btw... now, keep in mind, i may not have done this had I good paint job or a decent looking car to begin with, but the 5 year old $150 paint job that is on the car now is cracking and peeling off all over and the mirrors and wheels have the best paint on the car at the moment. This summer it will get a proper paint job for sure. I am soooo rice, they call me Chang

oooh, yeah! this is still going!!
so, santiago, why not paint your car primer, or just fill in areas with bad peeling/chipping paint with some other sort of paint? the only real purpose in paint is to keep rust from forming, right? and, you don't need to wash or wax your car to keep rust from forming(maybe during the winter) so washing and waxing really is being a ricer, unless its during winter and you need to clean the salt off.
restoring your car to original looks? you ricer. there's no function in doing that. the stock side skirts serve absolutely no function besides looks. so why not just get rid of them all together?
right?
