paint side moldings?

Hey, My side moldings are a little bit chipped, from when the last owner of my car "was hit" (i think he was just a moron and ran into somebody in a parking lot or something) but anyway, I was wondering if there is any type of paint I should use to re-paint them. I was planning on just using some black spray paint and covering up the rest of the car with some masking tape and paper (around the moldings, so the white stays white) does that sound like a good idea to you guys, or should I do something else? thanks in advance!

I used some stuff called "bumper color" from Auto-zone do to my window and windshield surrounds, as well as my wheel wells and it has held up well. It also looked good, being semi-flat black like the trim was when new. It's like four bucks a can. You could easily wet sand your trim with 320 grit sandpaper, mask it off and spray it with this stuff in a day. Painting is a little bit of work but well worth the results. I would get at least two cans, probably three to be safe.
