Other hood options

Well, last summer a deer landed on my hood and dented it pretty bad. I would like to find some replacement for it, but i rather not get a oem steel hood again because its so darn heavy. What other options are out there?

I would like the hood to be
1: lighter then stock
2: affordable, so probably not CF.

Can you even get CF hoods right now because of the world wide shortage of cf?

If your looking for a nice non OEM hood these could be of interest to you. They would be lighter than an aluminum hood and you'd get some better cooling too.

Yeah, I have seen those hoods. I dont think they will work with my car since I have an s2000 engine in it (see my sig) and i dont want an open hood vent like that because it makes the engine bay so dirty.

the reason it gets so much dirtier is the reason it is needed (much more airflow = much more dust) but for your application it probably isnt as beneficial to you because your engine does not run as hot as ours anyway.

get and 87.5 aluminum TII hood (just an 87 is steel, like my TII's hood) and get that scoop to become a ram air. Or get an aluminum vert hood and have it all smooth.
